team solomid had relatively easy time in group stage, defeating renegades in of close game , took down swedish powerhouse of ninjas in pyjamas. team kinguin lost luminosity gaming in game brazilians took full control in first part of group stage, european team pulled , took down australians of team immunity , americans of cloud9, both in close games.

two legendary teams faced off in quarterfinals. virtus.pro had no problems taking down team immunity , cloud9 in group d. ninjas in pyjamas, however, struggled in first group stage, edging win against counter logic gaming before being taken down team solomid 16-3 in winner s match. in second group stage, swedes took down renegades , moved on playoffs. predictions of winner split right down middle.

mirage chosen fnatic, map lg gained international fame on. fnatic claimed 5-0 lead before lg came 5 of own. fnatic later went 7-6 heading 14th round. fnatic reset lg s economy, fallen decided force buy 3 upgraded pistols, shot gun, , famas, inferior rifle used m4; lg took huge risk putting 4 players on bombsite, leaving coldzera on b bombsite. fnatic had right read, stormed way b bombsite, overwhelming coldzera pronax took lg s star player down. fer killed olofmeister, lurking in connector area, connects middle area bombsite. fer caught jw looking wrong way , killed him, fnatic planted bomb. fer picked awp jw dropped , killed krimz, focusing on steel. fer took out flusha right after , used pistol kill pronax, giving fer ace , enough time defuse bomb. although fer single-handedly took out fnatic, experienced swedes came take last round of half before teams switched sides. rest of game incredibly close , teams continued go , forth. game later tied 13-13, lg lost crucial round in 1 force bought, depleting money next round. in round 29, fnatic 15-13, olofmeister pushed middle aggressively catch unsuspecting coldzera. flusha fell boltz, pronax backed him kills on steel , boltz, leaving main core of lg – fallen , fer – in 2 vs. 4 save brazilians. fnatic left bombsite empty, gave lg opportunity set up. fer got quick kill onto jw , fallen got 1 onto olofmeister , lg in-game leader planted bomb. fer followed onto krimz, leaving pronax on 5 health points fall , save gun final round of regulation. fnatic had limited money, still had decent buy last round; lg limited coldzera on galil ar, terrorist inferior rifle ak-47. on thirty seconds left, lg executed b bombsite. pronax killed boltz, steel able kill flusha. jw traded out steel , coldzera took down pronax, boltz had bomb , stuck on elevated ground, giving trouble lg. fer hiding in middle area , took out olofmeister, krimz traded him out fer jumping b bombsite. coldzera planted bomb 5 seconds spare. krimz pushed on site , took down wounded coldzera. fallen left , missed important shot onto krimz. fallen hit krimz second time, legged him krimz barely stayed alive on eleven health points , defused bomb, giving thriller in favor of fnatic. olofmeister had 28 kills , krimz had 24 kills arguably deadliest duo on cs:go scene came through once again. fer had 27 kills , coldzera had 22, fallen had 16 kills , missed crucial shots hits. fnatic went on play virtus.pro , lg eliminated in quarterfinals once again.
