in 2015 heavy love recorded @ blasting room in fort collins, colorado. first time band traveled far away home record. album produced stevenson , jason livermore, former of member of descendents. members of man overboard grew listening descendents , big fans. guitarist justin collier called surreal working stevenson. stevenson gave band creative control , helped keep recording process in motion. collier mentioned group figur[ing] out how transition being rock band .
