cattolica has campuses in 6 italian cities, seat in historic cistercian monastery near basilica of sant ambrogio in heart of milan. monastery built benedictine monks in 8th century, ucsc milan campus expanded under care of cistercian friars in 15th century , military , social developments both during napoleonic era , world war ii.


the restructuring of benedictine monastery giovanni muzio in collaboration engineer pier fausto barelli began in 1929 , finished twenty years later.
