the story book wall collection of 247 tiles illustrating children s books , installed on wall near children s library. drawings created local schoolchildren in 1963 , copied onto tiles. project carried out local chapter of american association of university women.


the eugene manlove rhodes room, constructed part of 1987 expansion, holds library s collection of southwest books , materials. within room bank teller wall rescued bank in vaughn, new mexico , desks , other pieces of furniture 1900s. in 1958 civic league purchased w. h. hutchinson s collection of eugene manlove rhodes materials , donated them library. collection consists of books, correspondence, clippings, magazines, , few original manuscripts. these items , other rhodes-related items collected past library director june harwell have been photocopied, cataloged, , scanned computer files , available researchers.
