student activities

the democratically elected college union spearheads academic, cultural , sports activities of students in campus. aagneya inter collegiate techno-cultural festival of college started in 2008. there college arts festival , annual college magazine [1] apart college union, departments have students association organizes academic events pertaining branch.


there student chapter of ieee in college, organizes technical seminars , related activities.[2] college has team of students working promote use of free software among academia. they, along society promotion of alternative computing , employment (space), have released custom gnu/linux distribution named freeelectron, provides (along operating system) software tools required in ece curriculum.


the college member of technology incubation centre of government of kerala, conducts entrepreneurship development programmes , assists students in starting own enterprises.


the college has clubs , forums promoting student interaction includes quiz club , unit of national service scheme(nss). quiz team has represented college in , outside state.


the physical education department students can use facilities of department of physical education, university of kerala , stadium kilometer campus. arrangements have been made practice athletics, football, volleyball , weight training equipments there. students can practice basketball , handball @ central stadium , ball badminton, , shuttle badminton , table tennis @ jimmy george stadium, 2 kilometers campus. construction of 2 badminton courts progressing on campus.


the basketball, football , cricket teams of college have taken part in numerous competitions across state , in inter-collegiate events organised university , won prizes.

aagneya annual three-day festival held students of college. began in 2008, when batch began festival allow people of talents on country meet , partake in competition. aagneya consists of cultural activities involving dance, music, art, literary , quizzing activities, performances professional artists. aagneya means child of fire god in sanskrit. celebrated 10th edition on 2017.

full throttle (ft) organisation mechanical engineering students. events held, such auto-shows, stunt shows, social services, tech fests, , workshops etc. full throttle slogan game? . programme of ft inspire, intended provide basic technical education students of various orphanage across kerala.ft 2k15 included #50 days of road safety programme, ended aagneya fest.the inspire project going on in 50 orphanages across kerala.it has reached in such level conduct camps orphanage children s across various orphanage in trivandrum , providing them interactive lecture sessions,entertainment sessions , grand feast @ end. inspire widens s area of operation in subjects anti drug awareness campaigns . full throttle team members actively participating in green protocol activities corporation of trivandrum , suchitwa mission , giving them create plastic free trivandrum .
