in january 2016, township committee selected edward c. eastman jr. 3 candidates nominated republicam municipal committee fill seat expiring in december 2017 following resignation of jarrett r. engel; eastman serve on interim basis until november 2016 general election, when voters choose candidate serve balance of term.
