in june 1923, government passed acerbo law, transformed italy single national constituency. granted two-thirds majority of seats in parliament party or group of parties received @ least 25% of votes. law applied in elections of 6 april 1924. national alliance, consisting of fascists, of old liberals , others, won 64% of vote.
