creedon played club football local club macroom , captained macroom teams @ levels underage senior level. member of macroom team won u14 county schools shield in 1967, defeating youghal in final. won mid-cork medals @ u16 level in 1970, 5 minor medals 1968 1972, , 2 u21 medals in 1972 , 1974. @ adult level won muskerry cup medals in 1981 , 1982, intermediate football league medal in 1981 , captained macroom team win county intermediate football championship in 1982, return senior ranks in 1983. played last championship game macroom against st. nick s in may 1983, macroom winning 1–9 0–7.
inter-county minor & u21
creedon first came prominence on inter-county scene in 1972 member of cork minor football team defeated kerry 2–14 1–14 win munster title , went on win all-ireland title, defeating tyrone 3–11 2–11. creedon enjoyed further success @ u21 level when won munster winners medal in 1974 when cork beat kerry 3-05 1–10 in munster final.
inter-county senior
creedon made debut cork seniors in national league game against roscommon in 1975. first senior football championship game cork against clare in 1976. creedon went on play in 9 munster finals (including 2 replays) losing each time kerry. despite lack of championship success creedon added national league winners medal collection in 1980.
inter-provincial
creedon represented munster @ inter-provincial level , member of munster teams won railway cup in 1977 , 1981.
