cadets not referred freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors. instead officially called fourth class, third class, second class, , first class cadets. these subdivided military course (1st class) , general course cadets (4th through 2nd classes). these distinguished use of either sabres and/or rifles per spanish , french influence (4th , 3rd class cadets, aside sporting rifles carry daggers in service uniforms), , color of pickelhaube plume on prussian blue dress uniform: mc cadets have red, while gc cadets sport plumes year level (4th class - white, 3rd class - blue , 2nd class - gold), of reflect colors of flag of venezuela. white plumed pickelhaube worn officers. year level designation on shoulder mark in blue yellow stripes indicating year level. variant service caps worn female cadets, while peaked caps used in everyday uniform , in service uniforms of 4th , 3rd class cadets.

aside cadets 1st class , cadet master sergeants, every cadet company has 1 cadet first sergeant , battalions have 1 cadet sergeant major each.
