life , career
wada born in fukuchiyama, kyoto, japan. in 2003, wada released first original album, of mind, included many of previous works. collaborated in michihiko Ōta s self-cover album mirai e no message: Ōta michihiko self-cover, featuring in 2 tracks – cover version of hontō no tsuyosa (本当の強さ) (ken & wormmon s theme) , in 3 primary colors (the tamers theme), along aim. later, released album called best selection: welcome back!. contains several of earlier works 2 new songs, titled pierce , kimi no keshiki. on august 1, 2008, debuted mini-album titled ever, contained 5 brand new songs. album titled kazakami no oka kara (風上の丘から), sold @ live concerts in japan throughout end of 2009 in commemoration of 10th anniversary in music, , released worldwide on january 11, 2010.
wada had contributed songs 6 of 7 digimon anime series (with 1 of songs reused seventh, contributed no new songs), including opening themes first 5 of them. performed 2 songs used ending themes digimon frontier, innocent: mujaki na mama de (イノセント~無邪気なままで~) , endless tale (with aim). starred in various other songs series, such bokura no digital world (the memorial theme adventure series), yūki o uketsugu kodomo-tachi e , several christmas songs. performed song transformers: robots in disguise.
international appearances
in july 2007, wada made first show in brazil, doing solo presentation , singing along other invited japanese singers on anime friends . happened 1 year after ayumi miyazaki visited brazil in convention expoanime brasil . visited state of rio grande sul in brazil on october 14, 2007, during anima weekend event. on december 15–16, 2007, made live presentation in anime festival xl event in santiago, chile. in august 2008, released mini-album named ever, contains 5 original songs, 4 of them composed , written himself. in december 2008 performing in animeku 08 , in february anicon , , in july anime friends (both in 2010) events yamato , in brazil , argentina. on june 5–6, 2010, did 2 concerts in monterrey, mexico in santa lucia arena @ dengeki live , j-pop event , anime convention. in response metastasized cancer in 2011, cancelled 2 appearances planned chile , peru.
death
on october 4, 2011, wada announced via blog putting career on hold in order deal sudden metastasized cancer had seen treatment in 2003.
on april 3, 2016, wada died complications related nasopharynx cancer. last single, seven〜tri. version〜 , released 5 days prior death.
tribute
a cd tribute kōji wada released in japan on july 31, 2016 under name of digimon song best of koji wada. cd includes total of eleven tracks late singer. additionally, cover features angemon, wada s favourite character digimon franchise. compilation, koji wada digimon memorial best , released on january 25, 2017.
