1981 first year ncaa started sponsoring women s volleyball. usc, 26–10 record, defeated favored ucla @ pauley pavilion win first ncaa volleyball championship in ncaa history.
2002–04
usc won program s second ncaa championship defeating no. 2 , defending national champion stanford 3–1. keao burdine named outstanding player.
in 2003, usc repeated national champions. 35–0 record, women of troy became first repeat champion go undefeated. usc defeated florida 3–1 in final.
in 2004, usc made third consecutive final four, upsetting no. 1 nebraska in regional final. in national semifinals, women of troy lost no. 4 seeded minnesota, eventual national runners-up.
usc school in history of avca showcase tournament win back-to-back avca showcase titles, women of troy won in 2003 defeating hawaiʻi , 2004 defeating minnesota.

usc made first final 4 since 2004, upsetting fourth-seeded texas in regional final. in national semifinal, women of troy defeated top-seeded , eventual national runner-up stanford, having match point, ended losing fifth set in points, 16–14. during regular season, usc had beaten cardinal once.
2010
starting season ranked 10th nationally, women of troy compiled 25–4 regular-season record, 8th 25-win season in coach haley s 10-year tenure. notably, in regular season usc recorded sweep of crosstown rival ucla in conference play, including 3–2 margin in last match before postseason play, avenging losses in both 2009 matches.
the women of troy dropped 1 set through first 3 rounds of ncaa tournament before facing stanford in quarterfinal. though cardinal had defeated usc in both regular-season matches, women of troy edged stanford in five-setter, led falyn fonoimoana s season-high 25 kills. usc s first win against stanford in 7 tries dating 2007.
despite having won both regular season matches against cal, women of troy hit season low .107 team—including negative hitting percentage in first set—and swept, 3–0, in semifinal. usc finished 29–5 on season.
