after 11 years of exile hardships living strangers , pilgrims, allowed return sweden in 1745. wealthy salesman admired them bought them farm on värmdö island outside of stockholm. @ farm, called skevik , got name, settled, , stayed there rest of lives. there secretly distributed lot of pietistic , mystic literature, keeping in contact other likeminded christians on northern europe.
during time had many visitors, among them 2 of sweden s kings, showing them respect denied many years.
with end of skevikare community around 1830, radical pietistic movement in sweden ceased.
